desktopctl — Control interface for the desktop manager
desktopctl -H | -L | -P | -R | -S | -T | -V | -a | -c | -f | -h | -n
desktopctl is a control interface for the desktop manager. It can trigger events and modify the behavior of the desktop manager with a command line interface, while running.
The following options are available:
-HPlace icons horizontally.
-LRotate screen to landscape mode.
-PRotate screen to portrait mode.
-RRotate screen.
-SDisplay or change settings.
-TToggle screen rotation.
-VPlace icons vertically.
-aDisplay the applications registered.
-cSort the applications registered by category.
-fDisplay contents of the desktop folder.
-hDisplay the homescreen.
-nDo not display icons on the desktop.
